Perimeter Detection
Monitoring of the perimeter of a building without excessive false alarms has been difficult to achieve due
factors such as the weather, foliage, wildlife and litter. Using the Initsys Iaf network video recorder and
VerifiedAlarms can reduce false alarms by as much as 80% compared to other systems.
IAF generated alarms are very reliable since they are generated by Initsys Dual Detection. IDD video motion
edge detection couples with real time sensor data to provide very accurate detection and alarm from up to
twenty zones in a camera scene.
Utilsing two means of detection simultaneously provides the best of video motion detection and movement
detectors abilities. Each camera is associated to a detector, both types of detection must be in alarm mode
before an alarm is transmitted. Detection can create events to automatically pan, tilt and zoom other cameras
so the operators in the remote monitoring stations receive still images footage of the event and have access
to a camera that is functional and in the direction of the detection. |

Detectors are connected to the local network using Initsys iDigital IO interface units, up to 32 alarms can be
connected to one IAF. To make installation as simple as possible iDigital units can be located anywhere on
the network. The IAF needs to be armed/disarmed, this can be done locally or remotely using SetBySMS,
Merlin or the VerifiedAlarms web page.
Audible warn off is an essential part of a perimeter detection system, there are numerous methods including
audio from the IAF, our talk IP interface or even directly to individual cameras (model dependent). Ensuring
the audio is crisp we have developed a small 40W amplifier suitable for installation inside a camera housing.
The CamAmp has been designed to connect directly to any off the above methods with minimal interference
or distortion. |
