The Vulcan bomber is a cold war era aeroplane designed to deliver a nuclear warhead in the event of war. Last flown 15 years ago XH558 was the RAF's Vulcan display aircraft and was saved from destruction by the Walton family based at Bruntingthorpe.
The aircraft is now in a flying condition and was successfully test flown in October 2007.
The Initsys IAF system along with VerifiedAlarms has been specified to protect it.
In addition to its normal day to day function the VerifiedAlarms network has been used to provide a web camera type feed to enthusiasts monitoring the reconstruction. On the first flight over 2000 people monitored the takeoff and landing over standard broadband connections. In addition the Initsys network served over 18Gbytes of recorded video to over 4000 individuals from all over the world over the last month.
