The number of false alarms created by intruder alarms has created a world where responders assume that

The best way to achieve alarm verification is visually, with the assistance of audio where possible. The
simplest and easiest way to verify your alarm status is to use the VerifiedAlarms Network.
And because our network requires no “black box” just clever IP cameras installation is easy and low cost.
Existing alarm equipment can be retained (updated to IP signalling), and there is no wiring needed between
the cameras and the alarm - the network provides the “virtual connection”, linking alarm to camera.
When the intruder alarm sends the “set” signal to the alarm receiving centre the network sends a message to
the cameras to start working in verification mode. The alarm is working and verification is active. Cameras
are recording in their memory all the time, with up to one minute of pre-alarm images.
When the intruder alarm sends the “unset” message to the alarm receiving centre the network sends a
message to the cameras to go into privacy mode. Nothing is recorded (unless you want to have local
recording) neither can the camera be viewed remotely.
In the event of an alarm being received from the intruder alarm the network will send a message to the
cameras to send recorded images to the control centre, where they are matched to those from the intruder
alarm. Images will be pre alarm and post alarm. The number of images is dependent on the service level you
have selected and the capability of the camera.
The control room can go live to the cameras at any time an alarm is in progress to monitor the situation in real
time.
